News in Luv' land: Marga in Party / Luv' on Radio Extra Gold / Hans van Hemert's B'day / Luv' dolls

* The latest issue of Party magazine features an article about Marga Scheide, following the announcement of her artistic farewell in De Telegraaf on March 24th. The blonde singer will be performing for the very last time at CC De Spil in Roeselare, Belgium, as a guest artist in Piv Huluv's Vinylvreter Show on April 15th. Marga wants a discreet retirement from stage performing without a lot of fanfare.

As always, Party focuses on sensationalism. The celebrity gossip magazine mentions tensions with Marga's former Luv' colleagues (Patty Brard, Ria Thielsch and Chimène van Oosterhout). The weekly publication also refers to the Luv' biopic project. Filmmaker Frederik Nelck is currently developing a script about Luv's success story.

* The Luv' ladies are "artist of the week" on Radio Extra Gold from April 9th to April 15th. Due to Marga's forthcoming farewell, the Dutch local radio station puts Holland's greatest girl group in the spotlight this week. Marga, who took part in all the trio's line-ups, recorded a special message for the Radio Extra Gold listeners.

* On April 7th, Hans van Hemert, the legendary record producer who launched Luv' in late 1976, celebrated his 77th birthday. In addition to Luv', the Music Maestro wrote or produced hit songs for many other artists (including Mouth & MacNeal, Sandra & Andres, Kamahl, American Gypsy and André Hazes). In 2017, Hans received a "Lifetime Achievement Award" at the Buma Awards (the most prestigious music ceremony in the Netherlands). This prize rewarded his outstanding contribution to Dutch music.
