Luv's fans know Ria Thielsch as the one who replaced Patty Brard in the summer of 1980 and who became famous with the single "My Number One" and the album "Forever Yours".

Ria can be proud of her niece, Maxime Barlag, who is the lead singer of the pop-folk band "Mister and Mississippi".

Maxime is the daughter of Ria’s sister Brenda, who passed away on January 3, 2014.

In addition to Maxime, Mister and Mississippi is composed of three other members: Samgar Lemuël Jacobs (vocals/percussion), Tom Broshuis (guitar/keyboard), and Danny van Tiggele (guitar/vocals). The band’s name comes from the song of the same name by Irving Gordon from 1951, which later became well known through Patti Page and was also released by Rex Allen, Dennis Day, and Johnny Desmond.

The quartet started as a school project at the Herman Brood Academy, a pop music academy in Utrecht, the Netherlands. In January 2013, their eponymous debut album was released on V2 Records. In April 2013, the group won the 3FM Award in the category "Best Newcomer." In 2014, they won an Edison Award in the "Alternative" category.
In late 2017, the band announced that, after their then-ongoing tour, they would go on an indefinite hiatus.
Between 2013 and 2018, Mister and Mississippi toured the pop-rock circuit in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and Hungary.
