Patty Brard remains the most active former Luv’ member in Dutch media, consistently drawing significant public attention. Here’s her latest news from the past month, covering mid-October to mid-November 2025.
Patty Brard discussing "Het Perfecte Plaatje" in AD

The October 15 edition of AD newspaper featured an article about the 10th season of RTL 4's celebrity photo contest, "Het Perfecte Plaatje," in its "Media & Cultuur" section. Former contestants of the program shared their experiences. Patty Brard, who won the 2018 season, said, "Het Perfecte Plaatje" is, along with "Stars On Stage," one of the best programs I participated in. I had the opportunity to develop myself in a field I had always been curious about, and taking part in such a contest changed the way I see things. Even my latest smartphone photos have a different feel. The finale in Sri Lanka was particularly special. We were tasked with photographing a family that would represent the essence of Sri Lanka. While visiting someone's home, I met an elderly grandfather who was almost 100 years old. He had no family left, so I arranged photos of his loved ones around him and climbed a staircase to capture his image. I later discovered that he was a famous musician. Out of the three photos I took, one was published in National Geographic. It was such an honor."
Patty Brard in Weekend: "It’s like I’m looking at my mother."
The October 15 edition of Weekend magazine featured a brief article about Patty Brard, highlighting her involvement in RTL 4's show "Stars on Stage: Soldaat van Oranje." The diva shared behind-the-scenes photos on social media, revealing that she wore a fat suit while portraying Queen Wilhelmina. She mentioned that wearing this costume made her resemble her late mother.

The Price of Glamour: Gooische Vrouwen Villa Rented for €5,000 a Day (October 17)

Linda de Mol interviewed during the press presentation of "Gooische Vrouwen"
"Gooische Vrouwen" is a hugely popular Dutch drama-comedy series about the glamorous, chaotic lives of wealthy women living in “het Gooi,” one of the Netherlands' wealthiest regions. The current seasons of the series are broadcast on SBS6 and are also available to stream on Videoland. For the new season, the press presentation was held in the real villa used as the home of Linda de Mol’s character.
The house belongs to ordinary homeowners who temporarily moved out while the production team filmed there. Location scouts often search the Gooi for suitable filming homes, and productions can take over a house for weeks—removing all furniture, redecorating it to match the characters, and essentially transforming it into a film set. Although it is quite invasive, homeowners can earn substantial money from it, with some locations reportedly paid around 5,000 euros per day.
Patty Brard made it clear she had no sympathy for the homeowners. After speaking with them personally, she explained that they weren’t suffering at all—they were actually enjoying themselves. While their villa was being completely stripped and rebuilt for Gooische Vrouwen, they relaxed in a cozy B&B in Blaricum. Patty admitted that she would hate the idea of strangers taking over her home, but emphasized that these owners loved seeing their villa become part of such a well-known TV series. For Patty, the situation wasn’t about inconvenience or disruption—it was simply a fun, exciting experience for people thrilled to have their house on screen.
Controversial Fashion Choice at the Gouden Televizier-Ring Gala (October 17)
During the October 17 broadcast, the Shownieuws team discussed celebrities who showed their outfit at the Gouden Televizier-Ring Gala (Dutch TV awards).
Splinter Chabot's look was compared to a zebra crossing and even a roll of wallpaper. While Bart Ettekoven and Ronald Molendijk mocked the design, Patty Brard stood out as the one who defended him.

Splinter Chabot
From Patty’s point of view, the Iris van Herpen creation actually suited Splinter perfectly. She described it as “unique,” “beautiful,” and precisely the kind of bold fashion choice that matched his personality. While the others focused on the odd shapes, stripes, and “wallpaper” comparisons, Patty insisted that the outfit fit Splinter’s character and flair. She remained the only one at the table who truly appreciated the design and stepped in to protect him from the criticism.
Moreover, Kim-Lian van der Meij made a clear fashion blunder at the Televizier-Ring Gala. While Kim-Lian proudly stepped onstage to accept an award, Patty couldn’t ignore what she saw as a basic mistake: the presenter’s dress was completely see-through under the studio lights, revealing a bright thong underneath.
Patty explained that she was genuinely shocked that Kim-Lian seemed unaware of how visible her underwear was.

Thijs Römer Spotted at Ademnood Concert (November 8)
Dutch actor Thijs Römer saw his career collapse after being convicted of sexual misconduct involving underage girls. Since then, he has largely disappeared from public life. He was unexpectedly spotted at Ademnood, a nostalgic sing-along concert starring Babette van Veen and Katja Schuurman, held in AFAS Live, a major concert venue in Amsterdam. The evening featured a special performance by Sammie, the 15-year-old daughter of Katja and Thijs.
Bart Ettekoven pointed out that it was remarkable to see Thijs in such a public setting. He usually avoids crowded places and cameras, and his professional life has been at a standstill — earlier this year, he even stated he couldn’t afford the compensation owed to his victims. Publicly, it has been silent around him for months.
Patty offered a softer, more personal viewpoint. She mentioned she had been seated on the same VIP balcony and saw Thijs standing quietly among Katja Schuurman’s parents, watching their daughter perform with pride. According to Patty, the moment was touching: despite all the controversy surrounding him, Katja’s parents still acknowledged and embraced him in his role as Sammie’s father. She highlighted the human side of the situation - a father supporting his daughter - rather than the scandal attached to his name.

Patty Brard in "Scrooge Live 2025 – Arnhem Edition"
The cast for Scrooge Live 2025 was announced on November 4. Patty Brard stars as the Ghost of Christmas Present, alongside a talented cast that includes Patrick Stoof as Ebenezer Scrooge, Marlijn Weerdenburg as Bobbie Cratchit, Johnny Kraaijkamp as Jacob Marley, and Rayen Panday as the Ghost of Christmas Past. Other members include Hanna van Vliet as Fanny, Martijn Fischer as Cousin Fred, Alex Ploeg as Master Thijssen, Katja Schuurman and Babette van Veen as collectors, Kluun as the narrator, Stijn Fransen and Roosmarijn Wind as partygoers, Noah Fontijn as young Scrooge, Daan Dunnebacke as Tiny Tim, and Emma Keuven as Martha. April Darby performs as a soloist in the Carol Singers choir, while Carrie ten Napel returns as a reporter. The production is directed by David Grifhorst, with musical direction by Eric van Tijn.
This sixth edition of Scrooge Live will be held in the Klarendal and Geitenkamp neighborhoods of Arnhem. It aims to bring Charles Dickens’ classic story to life with a musical twist, merging the age-old tale with contemporary themes. Patrick Stoof portrays Scrooge, a penny-pinching man who rejects the sentiments of love and Christmas until a series of ghostly encounters lead him to discover warmth and generosity. The narrative contrasts wealth and poverty while delving into themes of friendship, love, and family. Kees Prins and Patrick Stoof crafted this iteration's script in collaboration with producer Mediawater.
In addition to its entertainment value, Scrooge Live serves a charitable purpose. Partnering with the Dutch charity "Nationaal Fonds Kinderhulp," the show raises awareness about child poverty in the Netherlands. Hundreds of thousands of children and young people under 21 are impacted by financial stress in their families, which leads to unequal opportunities and adverse health outcomes. Proceeds from the show will contribute to Kinderhulp’s mission to help children develop into resilient, healthy adults equipped for better futures.
The live broadcast is scheduled for December 18 at 8:30 pm on MAX/NPO 1.

Datecast wins a prize at the Dutch Podcast Awards 2025

Patty’s recent podcast, Datecast, won an award in the ‘Innovation’ category at the Dutch Podcast Awards on November 4. The former Luv’ singer shared a joyful message about it on social media.
Datecast presented a clever concept: dating based on voice and conversation, without focusing on appearances. The podcast effectively utilized the audio medium, making sound the primary focus. The role of a Dutch celebrity in this podcast went beyond casual chit-chat, such as "How was your week?" Patty Brard surprised with her witty and empathetic style, putting the participants at ease while asking the questions that listeners themselves were curious about. The result was an intimate and refreshing listening experience where genuine connection took center stage.
La Brard's collaboration with Voedselbanken Nederland
On November 13, Patty shared a message on social media about her collaboration with Voedselbanken Nederland, the national organization that coordinates local food banks nationwide and provides free food packages to families and individuals in need. The Shownieuws expert revealed that she would be visiting ambassadors for this charity, including Danny Blind, Najib Amhali, René Froger, Olcay Gulsen, and Frank Dane, to help track down forgotten gift cards.

In her post, she highlighted that nearly 2 billion euros in gift vouchers and cards are issued annually in the Netherlands, yet much of this value goes unused, often forgotten in kitchen drawers, while many families could benefit from the funds.
To address this, Voedselbanken Nederland, in collaboration with Wissel.nl, is launching the National Gift Card Action for the first time. The campaign enables individuals to donate the balances of their unused gift cards to support those struggling financially.
