Mallorca has been the favourite party island of German tourists for fifty years. One of the most popular local spots among Teutonic party-goers has been the beach club "Balneario 6"
aka "Ballermann".
On June 10th, the German channel RTL broadcast one episode of "Die ultimative Chartshow" (hosted by Oliver Geissen) to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Ballermann. Click here to watch the show (only available for German viewers).

On the same day, Polystar (part of Universal Music Group) released the compilation entitled "Die Ultimative Chartshow - Die Erfolgreichsten Ballermann-Hits". Luv's signature song, "You're the Greatest Lover", appears on this double CD. During Luv's heyday, Germany was the group's biggest export market. "Greatest Lover" was the trio's breakthrough hit. The single entered the Musikmarkt/Media Control Chart on October 2nd, 1978, stayed four weeks at #1 (from November 13th to December 10th, 1978) and spent 27 weeks on the German hit parade. This classic eventually sold 650.000 copies in the Federal Republic and turned gold. Luv' scored seven other hit singles in Goethe's country.
