Dernière mise à jour : 20 avr.

Patty Brard has been in the spotlight in the Netherlands due to the broadcast and the success of "PATTY", a Videoland series based on her life.

Here is some recent news about her, apart from the series:

  • Leaving Shownieuws

Here are the latest viewing figures of SBS6's infotainment program "Shownieuws", featuring Patty Brard as a showbiz expert:

  • February 9th: 547.000 viewers (market share: 20.8%)

  • February 23rd: 521.000 viewers (market share: 20.7%)

  • February 25th: 526.000 viewers (market share: 24.1%)

On the April 5th broadcast of "Aran on Tour", a section of RTL 4's infotainment news show "RTL Boulevard", the diva revealed that she left "Shownieuws". Her contract expired on March 1st and was not renewed. Since January 2007, Miss Brard has been active on this popular SBS6 program, with two hiatuses (2011-2013 and 2017-2019). Shownieuws kept her busy the most on the small screen in recent years. "I left for a while. I'm in Ibiza for the time being," Patty told the interviewer Aran Bade. "I love all my colleagues," she added without mentioning the behind-the-scenes tensions at Shownieuws (including the problems with the editorial staff in 2011 and her feud with some co-workers (Guido den Aantrekker, Frits Huffnagel, Airen Mylene...).

Despite her discreet departure from "Shownieuws", the larger-than-life media personality bounces back. "I just got a call for a new format from Amazon Prime. Then I thought: that's nice. I'll think about it," Patty said.

  • Patty's voice in "Kung Fu Panda 4" (Dutch version)

La Brard joined the voice cast of the Dutch version of "Kung Fu Panda 4", a DreamWorks Animation film which opened in theatres in the Netherlands on March 20th.

Patty, the Dutch voice of Granny Boar, attended the premiere of "Kung Fu Panda 4" at Pathé Arena in Amsterdam on March 10th. The other members of the Dutch cast were present, including Martijn Fischer, Linda Wagenmakers, Lucretia van der Vloot, Kwok One and Phi Nguyen.

To date, "Kung Fu Panda 4" has grossed an estimated $2,980,726 in the Netherlands and $371,147,809 worldwide, which can already be considered a commercial success.

Before this movie, Patty already voiced characters for the Dutch versions of 3-D animated comedies and children's films: "How to Train Your Dragon" and "Sammy's Adventures" in 2010, "Heksje Lilly en de reis naar Mandolan" (the sequel of "Lilly the Witch: The Dragon and the Magic Book") in 2011, "Legends of Valhalla: Thor" in 2012, "Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Road Chip" in 2015, "The Emoji Movie" in 2017 and "Minions: The Rise of Gru" in 2022.

  • Patty Brard to celebrate her 70th birthday with a Panter Party at Ziggo Dome in 2025

Next year, the ex-SBS6 star will turn seventy on March 25th, 2025. The Prima Donna made a special announcement on March 22nd: she will celebrate her seventieth birthday with a "Panter Party" at the Amsterdam Ziggo Dome on March 14th, 2025. Roxeanne Hazes, Anita Meyer and Robin S will be performing during the show. The rest of the line-up will be announced later. Click here to buy tickets for this event.

Patty did not rule out a reunion with her ex-Luv' colleagues, Marga Scheide and José Hoebee. "We are busy working on this party, and a reunion would be fantastic," she told the ANP, the largest news agency in the Netherlands. But a performance of the original Luv' trio seems out of the question due to Patty's feud with the other ex-group members and José's constant ill health.

Goldstar Music released "Panter Feest", the anthem for "Patty's Panter Party", on digital platforms. This song is reminiscent of "U.O.Me" by Luv'.
