The release party for "Only Luv" took place at Wisseloord Studios in Hilversum, the Netherlands, on the same day the album was launched.

Among the attendees were the former Luv' ladies (Marga Scheide and José Hoebee), Peter Boonstra (initiator of the Only Luv' project), Matt Pop (who brilliantly remixed the tracks), René van Ooijen (responsible for photo and video edits), and Hans van Hemert's daughters, Tatiana and Hannah.

Many dedicated fans were also present, including Marco Rens (who runs the Official Luv' Fan Page), Martin Vink (who launched Luv's first fan club), Ger Valkenburg and Dyon Hagenaars (of DC Models), René Moonen (who developed beautiful Luv' projects in the 2000s), Jennifer Bostelaar, Jos Theuns (José Hoebee's biggest fan), Anton van Stekelenborg-Poirters (all-around singer and radio host on Dit Is Helmond), Gert Schans,

Wil van der Schoor, Michael Verkooyen, Pierre Brouwers, Egbert Tigchelaar, Holm Steffens (who came from Germany), Onno Conde Nieto, Cees van der Weide (who created many Luv' dolls through Cw miniaturen dolls) and numerous others whose support and presence were equally appreciated, even if not all names can be listed here.

One of the highlights of the event was the heartfelt and well-delivered speech by Peter Boonstra. He expressed his gratitude to the Luv' ladies, Matt Pop and René van Ooijen, for their contributions and to Hans van Hemert's daughters, Tatiana and Hannah, for their support. Marga, José, Tatiana, and Hannah were presented with the very first copy of the Only Luv' album. Tatiana also delivered an emotional speech, paying tribute to her late father, who had supported the project wholeheartedly before his passing.

SBS6’s entertainment news program Shownieuws—where Patty Brard occasionally appears as a showbiz expert—covered the Only Luv’ release party in its May 24th edition.

During the segment, remixer Matt Pop was interviewed. "We remixed the old songs with lots of love," he said.

"Matt received the green light from Hans van Hemert. That’s unique because producers usually don’t give that kind of approval easily," Marga explained.

"It’s done with taste. It’s for the new generation. I hope it reaches them," José added.

"There’s a huge difference compared to how it originally sounded—but we really enjoy it," Marga continued.

"We don’t know how our lives would have turned out without Luv’, because it had such a huge impact on us. It represented more than forty years of our lives. I’m proud that our music still gets attention, even four decades after our debut," José noted.

"It just keeps going, and that’s actually pretty funny because when I started, I didn’t think it would even last a year. So now, sometime later, I think: well done," Marga commented.

Patty was the most noticeable absence at the release party. When asked if Marga and José missed her, José replied: "What does miss really mean, huh?" Marga gave a more reflective response: "It’s been like this since 1980. Back then, things took a different turn due to circumstances, and after that, we tried a few more times. But in the end, it’s just over now—and that’s fine. Everyone’s gone their own way. Things go the way they go. I can’t change that. It’s not what I wanted, but it is what it is."

After the interviews aired, Shownieuws anchorwoman Dyantha Brooks and the program’s panellists discussed the segment.

Dyantha, who is known to be close friends with Patty, remarked: "It’s still a pity that the big star of the group is missing."

Music expert Erik de Zwart responded diplomatically: "Well, they’re all stars—each in their own way."

"Wasn’t Patty the star of the three?" Dyantha asked, unaware of the vocal contributions made by José and Marga.

"Patty was probably the most talked-about, I think," Erik replied.

"Every girl group has a Beyoncé, right? That’s what I always say. Like in Destiny’s Child, for example," Dyantha added.

"I think all three of them had a special kind of charisma," Erik said, defending José and Marga.

Studio guest Jochem van Gelder chimed in: "Yeah, but I think Patty came across best on screen. José was a bit introverted, wasn’t she? But she definitely sang the best."

"That’s true," Erik agreed. "That was actually part of the reason things ended in 1981. I remember it clearly. They did their final performance on my music show, Nederland Muziekland," he recalled.

"It’s always the same issue — there’s always that one big star," Dyantha concluded.

A shame, then, that Shownieuws chose a sensationalist angle instead of focusing on the music and legacy of Luv’.

Marga and José’s appearance on Shownieuws sparked coverage across several celebrity gossip websites (including Mediacourant.nl, Story.nl, and Ditjesanddatjes.nl).
