On October 10th, SBS6's infotainment news program "Shownieuws" featured Patty Brard as a showbiz expert and drew 359.000 viewers (market share: 16.4%).
During the broadcast, the diva told a funny anecdote involving her former Luv' colleague, Marga Scheide, and media personality René Mioch. "I hate blind dates. I hate dating because you have to make so much effort and pretend you're intelligent. I have a story to tell you about a blind date that I once organized. These are people you know. I had the fantastic idea to couple René Mioch, who was looking for a partner and who is a nice man, with my then colleague Marga from Luv'. I sent them to a restaurant and gave the personnel instructions. Everybody there knew about this date and was staring at them. The two of them entered the restaurant. It was a drama. They didn't click and there was no chemistry between them," Patty told.
La Brard and her Shownieuws colleagues discussed other subjects. Among them were the rumours about André van Duin's wedding with Fernando Reyes and the long-awaited documentary about André Hazes on Videoland.
